also known as “Auntie Bev, the Vocabulary Builder” to more than 3 million followers across all social media platforms, is a veteran journalist who has spent more than 40 years in radio and television news. She has worked as a radio news anchor, talk show host, television reporter, videographer, and as an Assignment Editor.

In addition, Beverly has been featured on the Kelly Clarkson Show, and as a baby boomer expert on MSNBC-TV. She has been covered by numerous online publications, including the New York Times Newspaper. She has represented Google as a Social Media Influencer and collaborated with the History Channel, American Advisors Group, Butterball Turkey, The Kroger Co., and Biscuitville in various online campaigns.

Recently, Beverly made history by becoming the first Black woman to create a Vocabulary Dictionary (WordUp!) based on the vocabulary videos she introduces daily. She calls it “a new way of learning for a new generation.” 

She is also the author of five Amazon best-selling books, Whatever! A Baby Boomer’s Journey Into Middle Age, How to Get on the News without Committing Murder, The Baby Boomer/Millennial Divide: Making it Work at Work, and How to Cuss with Class. (1st and 2nd edition) 

Beverly currently works as a part-time Writing Consultant at a local university in North Carolina and hosts online public speaking and writing sessions on YouTube, TikTok and Facebook.
